Grassroots Team is meeting Thursday!

The Grassroots Team is looking for volunteers to help with the Grassroots Effort!

There will be a Grassroots Meeting Thursday August 27 at the Museum at 6 p.m.

One Last Reminder: Board Meeting Tonight @ 6:00 p.m.

We're looking for people to volunteer to lead efforts on behalf of the museum OR to volunteer to complete a task or two.

*Being a leader means that you will coordinate the effort and report to the board. Co-leaders are encouraged, 1-2 people to lead BUT as many volunteers as are interested in the different categories.*

Workgroups

Grassroots - *Hit the ground running to raise that money.*

• It looks like we have our group leaders for this effort!
• We can always use more volunteers for individual efforts! Contact for more info!

Foundations & Large Sources - *Research "General Operating Support"; start letters; make a chart of ideas; get in contact with companies, corporations and large donors.*

• We need leaders!
• And Volunteers!

Grants - *Research upcoming grants, grant deadlines, grant guidelines, what it would take to write that grant, how much the grant is for.*

• We need leaders!
• We have some volunteers for research!

Marketing - *We're getting the word out.*

• So far we've got Me (hi, thank you for coming by).
  
• We also have a team of volunteers (some really great VERY dedicated volunteers). Marketing is well on its way.

501(c)(3) - *How can we become a 501(c)(3) organization? What would it take? Can we get started?*

• We need leaders!
• And of course volunteers.

Closing Costs - *What are the real numbers for closing down the museum, what will it cost HSU? Research and Report...*
